A rustic Winter wedding full of seasonal florals, fur, and feathers
Not every wedding has to take place in August, during the height of Summer. Tying the knot during the warmest part of the year is not for everyone, and if, like Leanne and Jason, you'd rather get married in November, we don't blame you!
A wedding in the lead up to Christmas offers a stunning opportunity to celebrate the snowy season, and bring lots of Wintery themed touches to your reception. Which is precisely what our couple did. Decorating their space in a rustic theme, filled with fur, feathers, and lots of Winter-inspired flowers. Even the kids were a part of their Yuletide theme.

How did you meet?
I arranged Jason’s mortgages for over 10 years before we got together 3 years ago.
How did you get engaged?
Jason’s told me to buy a ring and gave me a budge lol we don’t do romantic
What was your favourite moment from the wedding?
Watching Jason’s reaction when I walked down the aisle and his beautiful smile when my dad lifted my veil
Tell us all about your wedding dress!
My vision was to wear a wedding dress that was traditional, but also beautifully different. Bellissima was the first out of three shops I had booked, and my Justin Alexander dress was the fourth I tried on. Straight away, as soon as I put it on, before I even left the changing room, I knew it was 'the one'! The back and the beading was just so beautiful.
What was the general decor for your big day?
We had a November wedding, so we chose to go for a Winter theme. A rustic feel with winter flowers and feathers. Fur wraps and fur mittens for the children.
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
Trust the knowledge and integrity of your sales advisor. They just can't help you if you don't allow them to honest with you.
Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend?
My florist, Alison White was amazing. I only had 8 months to organise the wedding, but Alison advised me, guided me, and supported me through it all.
Alison added all the special touches I wanted, and if she couldn’t supply something, she would find someone who could. All of my queries were answered within 24 hours, which gave me such peace of mind. On the day I felt I could just focus on me and not worry about anything, and that was because of her care.
How was your Bellissima experience?
Fabulous. Danielle was amazing. All my additional pieces (head piece, vail, back jewellery, fur jacket) were purchased from Bellissima. Danielle took the time to get to know me and understand what I was trying to achieve. She was very knowledgeable about every detail a bride could want.
