Grace & Kimmie's Festival-Style Real Wedding
A same sex festival wedding with a Love Actually proposal and a pie and mash feast
Lots of couples meet on dating apps these days, but not Grace and Kimmie! No, their first encounter was at football training, which tells you everything you need to know about this sweet pair. A same sex wedding that was never going to be standard.

Kimmie waited until Grace’s sister was home so all their loved ones could be part of the proposal, setting the scene with Grace’s favourite flowers and a Love Actually-style moment with the signs. For the wedding itself, they went full festival: lots of colour, even more ribbon, and pie and mash on the menu. Naturally!
And then there’s the dress! Grace doesn’t usually wear dresses and never thought she’d have that bridal moment until Amelia and the Bellissima team found her Sylvia by Mori Lee. A bow, a stunning back and one very happy bride.
Grace & Kimmie's Real Wedding Q&A
Here's Grace, in her own words, on how she and Kimmie put together their festival-style wedding.
1. How did you two meet?
We met at football training!
2. How did you get engaged?
Kimmie waited until my sister was home so all my loved ones could be a part of our engagement! She dressed out our home with my favourite flowers & I had my Love Actually moment with the signs!!

3. What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?
Honestly, the whole thing. We got ready together, we decorated the venue together & we just didn't stop smiling! The Pie n Mash was an added bonus!
4. Tell us all about your wedding dress. What details do you love? How did it make you feel?
I LOVE how the dress (Sylvia by Mori Lee) made me feel. I don't wear dresses, and I truly thought I'd never have that "moment", but I did! My dress was simple but so effective; it hugged my waist in the perfect place, and the back? STUNNING!! The bow was the icing on the cake!

5. What was the general decor for your big day?
We went for festival type vibes, colourful & lots of ribbon!
6. Do you have any advice for future Bellissima brides?
Go to Bellissima Weddings! Amelia made me feel so safe & my anxiety just melted away.
7. Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend?
We worked with so many talented suppliers, but these guys stood out.

8. How was your Bellissima experience?
Incredible! I've mentioned you guys when talking about my dress! I'll be mentioning Bellissima to anyone who hears me 😂. Thank you again, Amelia. You really were the best person for me. You made me feel confident when I needed it. You knew we'd find a dress, and we totally did!!
