Our real bride Georgia swapped lesson plans for wedding plans and pulled off the most effortlessly beautiful Essex wedding day.
We love an office romance! And what could be more exciting than a pair of teachers getting together? Today’s couple, Georgia and Steve, were once just classroom colleagues swapping ideas in the staff room before their work friendship blossomed into a love story that led to their big day at Apton Hall wedding venue.

Georgia and Steve's wedding day was everything they wanted. Relaxed, full of laughter, and styled in soft champagne and blush tones. Our bride stunned in her Anastasia gown from Maggie Sottero, giving her the confidence she needed when all eyes were on her. From getting ready with her girls to walking down the aisle, every moment of our bride's day played out perfectly, and we're so glad to be sharing it with you today!
How did you two meet?
We met at work! We both teach at the same school.
How did you get engaged?
We got engaged on Leigh Cliffs. We went out for lunch at one of our favourite Italian restaurants, followed by a walk. Steve got down on one knee while we were sitting on one of the benches — very low key, just what I wanted!

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?
I have several, but getting ready with the girls was definitely one. I also loved walking down the aisle, which I was actually dreading, but it ended up being such a special moment!
Tell us all about your wedding dress!
My dress was the Maggie Sottero ‘Anastasia’ and I absolutely loved her. She pulled me in in all the right places and fitted like a glove. The detailing on the bodice and that beautiful train are what sold it for me. I’ve honestly never felt so confident in my life!
What was the general decor for your big day?
We went for a neutral theme as it suited our wedding venue Apton Hall — champagne bridesmaids and nudes, whites, and blush flowers. The stationery was white and gold, and it all came together exactly how I’d imagined.
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
Soak it all up, be present, and make time for you and your husband to just be the two of you during the day. It flies by, and ultimately, the day is for the two of you!
Do you have any local suppliers you’d like to recommend?
Liam Gillan (wedding photographer)
Rewind the Day (videography)
Hair by Duboux (the Hollywood wave queen!)
Bunched Florist in Leigh-on-Sea for flowers.
Every single supplier helped make the day seamless and so enjoyable.

How was your Bellissima experience?
A total 1000/10. After a disappointing trip to another shop, I didn’t go in with high hopes, but Bellissima completely changed everything. From the first phone call to walking through the door, everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Danielle was my stylist and somehow just knew what would work for me. Dress number three was the winner! Then I had Dale for fittings and Robyn for accessories — both were amazing. Being a Platinum Bride made it all so easy too, with in-house alterations and my dress steamed and aisle-ready the day before. I couldn’t recommend Bellissima enough.
