The Real Wedding of Nicola Foskett

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

Sunset photos, lockdown proposals and a Marbella marriage!

The heavens have opened, and the rain is pouring down over Bellissima towers. We're dreading the run to our cars, and hoping the onslaught of heavy showers subsides soon, as one of us has just realised their washing is still out on the line… Just a typical, rainy, almost-winter's day in the UK. What can we do to brighten our mood, and gift ourselves a little warming glow? Share with you the beautiful, sunny shots of our real bride Nicola's destination wedding! The perfect remedy.

We love a destination wedding, wherever it may be. Although, the consensus with our girls is that it definitely has to be sunny! Somewhere like, Marbella! Which is where our real bride Nicola and her now husband Mr Maklof tied the knot.

Nicola chose the gorgeous Ora by Enzoani for her wedding dress, the perfect choice for a sunny celebration, with its light as air lace and deep open back. It looks stunning in these pictures, and we can't wait to see more shots from the big day!

The Real Wedding of Nicola Foskett

It's our pleasure to be sharing a couple of her real wedding pictures today, along with a few words about our couple, their wedding, and the Bellissima experience.

How did you two meet?

We met through friends 11 years ago, and just instantly knew we liked each other.

How did you get engaged?

We were at home (during lockdown) on Christmas morning. He literally slid off the sofa onto one knee, and we both couldn't stop laughing.

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?

My favourite moment took place while taking our sunset photos. There was a photo spot above our wedding breakfast, no one knew we were up there, and we were just watching everyone enjoying themselves down below. It was the best feeling to step aside and see your dream become a reality in front of your eyes.

Tell us all about your wedding dress. What details do you love, how did it make you feel?

Where do I start? It was the third dress I tried on. I remember driving to the shop with my mum for my first bridal fitting, and joking that the dress I'd shown her online would never suit me… Well, it did, and no other dress could compare! I love every inch of its detailing, the subtle hint of sparkle, and the low back, something I would never usually wear.

What was the general decor for your big day?

I kept the decor simple, greens, and whites, with a hint of pampas grass as the floral element.

Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?

Before your first bridal appointment, when picking out wishlist options online, select dresses you like the look of. Don't be afraid to try something on that you think might not suit you, as you may actually surprise yourself when you finally slip it on.

How was your Bellissima Weddings experience?

Amazing! Everyone has honestly been incredibly helpful from start to finish. Lucy was so patient with me while I was trying on a million dresses, and still always coming back to the same one!

Dale with his amazing alteration skills, Nicola helping me choose a bridal veil, and Amelia for just being there, helping me throughout. You have all been so lovely, and I've recommended you to everyone I know who's getting married. A great team!
