A celebration filled with white, green, and gold.
Not every bride wants to look like a princess, but they do want to feel special. To wear something that flatters. That makes them look, and feel, incredible. Whether it's a flouncy ballgown with layers upon layers of floaty fabric. Or a slinky, sexy, sensual sheath hugging the silhouette. It doesn't matter. Because every bride is different. Sounds cliché, but it's so true.
When our real bride, Jess, slipped on the dress she would eventually say 'yes' to, it made her feel like she was part of something magical. More specifically, part of Swan Lake, a production that holds a special place in her heart. And it was this 'special-ness', this feeling of being special, that made her dress, the one.
The Real Wedding of Jess & Brad at The Rochford Hotel
Find out why Swan Lake is so important to Jess, and discover more about her wedding to Brad in our latest post. Featuring words from the bride herself, and a few pics!
How did you two meet?
The Pink Toothbrush nightclub in Rayleigh
How did you get engaged?
On a long weekend in York. Brad took me for a lovely meal before coming back to our hotel for a drink. He proposed right in front of the hotels' massive Christmas tree (it was quite a posh hotel for a treat).
What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?
Difficult to pick one, but the first dance would probably be it. In that moment, even though everyone was watching, it felt like it was just us.
Tell us all about your wedding dress. What details do you love, how did it make you feel?
I loved everything about it TBH! The shape, as I felt it was so flattering. The train was absolutely out of this world with all the detail it had on it. And the top part, I loved the sparkly straps, and the lace! I've danced ballet all my life and the shape of the lace detailing on my dress reminded me of something out of Swan Lake, a feeling that really sold me on the dress. I also loved how the whole thing glittered, but it was subtle.
Jess wore Olexa from Blue by Enzoani on her wedding day.
What was the general decor for your big day?
The theme was white, green, and gold, so all the decorations were based around that colour scheme. For instance, our flowers were white and green, the bridesmaid dresses were green, the welcome sign and table plan were both a floral white and green, while the decorative stands for flowers were all gold.
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
When looking for your dress, trust your stylist, as Lily knew what I needed when I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted. For example, my dress wasn't even on my initial wish list, but as soon as she pulled it out I was hooked!
Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend? A florist? Venue? DJ?
All of our suppliers, they were all amazing! But a special thank you must go to;

How was your Bellissima experience?
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. It felt like from the minute I stepped into the shop on my very first shopping day, that the entire wedding experience was 'kicked off'!
