Proud Mum moments, soft pink florals, and the perfect Bellissima dress
You don't have to be a 'a dress person' to wear and love wearing a wedding dress on your big day. Today's real bride, Hollie, is a shining example of that. In fact, she hadn’t even done much research before stepping through our doors. But then came the dress. The one that made her feel feminine, elegant, and most importantly, herself.

Hollie's wedding took place at High House in Althorne, Essex. A big day full of warm, rustic touches and touching family moments. From her soft pink roses, eucalyptus, champagne petals. To her surprise proposal story involving her one-year-old, Hollie’s real wedding story is as emotional as it is beautiful!

How did you two meet?
We met in Wales in our early 20s ’s and moved to Essex a few years later as that’s where my husband is from.
How did you get engaged?
My daughter, who was 1 year old at the time, surprised me by carrying in my ring on her 1st birthday.

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?
Really hard to say as the whole day was magical. I would say seeing my two daughters getting ready to go down the aisle was a very proud moment.
Tell us all about your wedding dress. What details did you love, and how did it make you feel?
I fell in love with my wedding dress (Dioritte from Maggie Sottero). It’s not at all what I thought I would pick, but when I put it on I just knew. It made me feel so feminine and elegant, and for someone who doesn’t usually wear dresses I loved the experience.

What was the general decor for your big day?
Very rustic. Light pink roses, gypsophila and eucalyptus, wood slices, and champagne petals.
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
Really go for a dress that’s you. It’s lovely to have advice and opinions, but on your big day there are many moments where it’s just you and your thoughts and feelings, and you need to be happy with your choice. So much of the day is for other people – how you look should represent what you want to see in your pictures.

Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend? A florist? Venue? DJ?
My venue is High House in Althorne – it was magical and they also supplied the DJ!
My incredible photographer was Johnny Thompson at Pure Image Photography.
My hair stylist was Kerry Anderson for Bohemian Halo
Makeup was by Charlotte Louise Bridal
My beautiful flowers were all prepared by a talented family friend
How was your Bellissima experience?
I was very nervous, as I don’t wear dresses often and I had done no research. But I loved trying dresses on! My favourite experience was working with Dale and making the dress fit me perfectly.
