What better way to see in the Summer season than with a Sorrento wedding

There's few places in the world more glamorous than the Amalfi Coast. A playground for the rich and famous who flock to this Italian oasis every year to bask in its natural beauty, and enjoy the region's iconic cuisine. Sorrento in particular has served as a breathtaking backdrop for many a destination wedding, and it's here our real bride Chloe chose to say 'I do' to Jack earlier this year.

Chloe selected a gorgeous mermaid gown for her big day, and the style suited the grand celebration perfectly. With its diaphanous, trailing tulle, and intricate lace detailing, its not hard to see why our bride felt every inch the modern princess in it.

A Chic Real Wedding in Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast

We share a few words from Chloe about her Bellissima experience, alongside what made her Sorrento wedding so special.

How did you meet?

Not the most romantic way but on Tinder.

How did you get engaged?

We got engaged on a yacht in Mexico.

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?

The ceremony, when I got to see my future husband at the end of the aisle and marry him.

Tell us all about your wedding dress!

I absolutely loved my wedding dress and I really did feel like a princess in it. The dress was a mermaid fit and I loved the lace on the body, and the fishtail train with lace detail.

What was the general decor for your big day?

Our wedding was in Sorrento, Italy, so the decor and venue was in a traditional, Italian style. We got married over looking the Almafi Coast, the villa was beautiful and only needed a few touches of flowers around the venue to complete the look.

Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides? 

Enjoy every moment and make sure you have some alone time with your partner on the day to take it all in.

Do you have any suppliers you would like to recommend?

For an Italian wedding, I would 100% recommend our venue Villa Antiche Mura. It is a beautiful wedding venue and the team were so helpful throughout the entire planning process. 

How was your Bellissima experience? 

From my first appointment to the day I took my dress home, the Bellissima team made my wedding dress experience so special. I enjoyed the whole process. The team are so lovely and helpful. Wish I could do it all again!
