Alex & Chris's Timeless Coastal Wedding at The Roslin Beach Hotel
Some proposals involve a simple walk in the park. Alex and Chris opted for something a little more cinematic: a vintage Morgan car, a scenic drive along the Italian coastline from Monaco, and a romantic harbour proposal in Portofino.
When it came to saying "I do" at the stunning Roslin Beach Hotel, the couple brought that exact sense of timeless glamour home to Essex. Dressed in the showstopping Jacqueline gown by Justin Alexander, Alex turned heads in rich, structured satin featuring a dramatic shoulder bow, cascading back tails, and a long row of delicate buttons running all the way down the train. Accented by pops of vibrant, bright pink florals set against crisp whites, it was a day filled with romantic details, family moments, and an unbeatable party atmosphere.

1. How did you two meet?
At work! Chris joined the company many years after I started. I think he even made me a cup of tea during one break time to woo me, and it clearly worked!
2. How did you get engaged?
Chris took me on a surprise trip to Portofino for my birthday. He hired a vintage Morgan car and drove along the coast from Monaco to Portofino, where he proposed right on the harbour.
3. What was your favourite moment from the wedding?
Seeing Chris at the end of the aisle with our two beautiful children, Harriet and Charles.
I also loved the build-up to the singing waiter and seeing everyone in the room dance, sing, and have the absolute best time, which was our ultimate goal for the day. Watching my mum and dad get up and dance alongside all of us was so special, as was catching up and dancing the night away with old friends.
Our first dance to Here Comes The Sun means so much to us both. It was such a sweet, private moment just for the two of us amidst all the celebration.

4. Tell us all about your wedding dress!
My dress (Jacqueline gown by Justin Alexander) made me feel like a movie star. The bow on the shoulder and the tails that draped down the back were the main standout features for me. My absolute favourite detail, though, was the beautiful buttons running from the top of the dress right to the end of the train. I also loved the feel of the thick, luxurious satin, which looked like it was glowing in the sun.
5. What was the style and decor theme for your big day?
Bright, vibrant pinks that popped against crisp white. Romantic, timeless, and classic.
6. Do you have any advice for future Bellissima brides?
Relax about the finer details in the morning while getting ready. Don’t fluster yourself trying to make every single thing perfect, because once you’re standing at the altar, none of that matters anyway.
Get ready as early as possible so you have time to breathe and enjoy the atmosphere rather than dealing with a stressful rush at the end. And keep the room peaceful! Don't allow too many people to visit while you're getting ready; keep it calm and relaxed.
7. How was your Bellissima experience?
It was everything a girl could ever dream of for that moment we’ve all been waiting for: trying on wedding dresses, feeling special, and falling head over heels in love with the one.
