Real Bride Grace & Her Glam-Meets-Fun Wedding at Baddow Park

Updated: 3 hours ago

A Dubai proposal, a gown with a deep plunge, and a Peroni Pony!

Grace’s wedding at Baddow Park was the perfect mix of pure elegance and pure chaos, all wrapped up in a chic black-tie theme. Her big day followed a Dubai proposal that almost didn’t happen (keep reading to find out why!) and was filled with gold accents, crisp white florals, and a beer-serving Peroni Pony that instantly became a guest favourite.

Grace chose a statement Josephine Scott gown for the big day, complete with a deep plunge she never imagined choosing. But the moment she stepped into it and looked in the mirror, nothing else even came close.

Grace & Jamie's Real Wedding at Baddow Park

Discover the real wedding of our bride Grace and all the little details that made her celebration so special.

1. How did you two meet?

We met at work.

2. How did you get engaged?

We got engaged in Dubai. Five years earlier he had said, “Next time we come here, I’ll buy you a diamond,” but I didn’t realise he already had a ring made. We even argued at the airport because he was being weird about his bag… and I kept wandering into shops when he was trying to ask! The ring came out six times before he actually managed to propose. When he finally did, I was so shocked.

3. What were your favourite moments from the wedding?

The whole day was amazing. The ceremony was incredible, the décor was stunning, and the staff were amazing — everyone was so well looked after. We also had a pony with beer buckets on the side that guests renamed the “Peroni Pony.” It was hilarious.

4. Tell us about your wedding dress. What made you choose it?

I was so worried about the deep plunge because I wanted to feel like a bride and feel covered, but all of those thoughts disappeared when I put it on. I couldn’t think about or like any other dresses — it had to be this one. I loved the lace and tulle detail, and the veil was incredible. To this day I still can’t stop admiring how perfectly the lace matched the dress.

5. What was the general décor for your big day?

Cream and white flowers with gold accents. The men were in black tie, the bridesmaids wore black with white roses, and the groom and I had red roses to stand out against everything.
