A beautiful love story thirteen years in the making

True love stands the test of time, and after thirteen wonderful years together, teenage sweethearts Demi and Adam were more than ready to tie the knot. Their wedding journey began during a milestone holiday to the Dominican Republic, where a packed day full of exploring caves and off-roading culminated in a magical proposal.

When it came to the big day, the couple chose the stunning surroundings of The Warren Estate in Essex. Embracing a beautifully timeless colour palette of sage green, forest green, and soft neutrals, their big day was a seamless blend of elegant design and pure joy. From escaping on a golf cart to catch some supreme sunset moments to surprising their guests with a spectacular evening firework display, every second was designed to celebrate marrying a best friend.

Finding the dress to match such an iconic celebration meant finding a bridal gown with a real sense of romance. Demi knew exactly what she wanted for her bridal look, and the moment she stepped into Jace by Maggie Sottero, the stars aligned. An adventurous Caribbean proposal leads to a spectacular Essex celebration.

How did you two meet?

We met 13 years ago through friends and went to the cinema for our first date (we were teenagers when we met)

How did you get engaged?

Adam proposed to me in the gorgeous Dominican Republic on our 10-year anniversary of being together. We'd had an amazingly adventurous day exploring caves and off-roading and went to a cocoa farm before having an amazing teppanyaki dinner back at the resort!

What was your favourite moment from the wedding?

All of it! Of course, marrying my best friend. But one of our favourite moments was going off in a golf cart to have some amazing photos taken in the sunset by Jason and Ben (best photographers ever).

Another of my favourite parts of the day was surprising our family and friends with a firework display - it really was magical and we were so grateful to have Maverick (our videographer) there to film all of these special moments!

Tell us all about your wedding dress!

I tied the knot in the Jace wedding dress from Maggie Sottero! It was absolutely perfect. It had all the things I wanted in a wedding dress, from the ruches and the back details (buttons all the way down) to the sleeves with the gorgeous detailing on. I just loved the way it made me feel!

What was the general decor for your big day?

Sage green, forest green and beige/neutrals.

Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?

Take in every moment and enjoy it! And it’s ok to be honest, as this moment is all about you!
