Chloe & Harry: A Sunlit Seaside Celebration in Rhodes

From a teenage crush to a Greek island wedding, our bride's story is pure holiday romance goals!

Some love stories start with a swipe or a fleeting glance in the classroom. For Chloe and Harry, it began with a late-night lift after one too many! Years later, Harry proposed on a quiet evening walk in Rhodes, which has become their favourite island and subsequently the destination for their wedding day! A joyous celebration surrounded by sea views, white roses, and lots of laughs.

Chloe chose the beautiful D3460 from Essense of Australia for the big day, which suited her modern seaside celebration perfectly!

We're so pleased to be sharing a couple of pictures from Chloe & Harry's big day along with a few words from the bride herself.

How did you two meet?

We first connected through social media. I was 16, and Harry had just turned 17. We already knew of each other through mutual friends at school. One night, after a few too many drinks, Harry came to pick me up... and that was the beginning of our very romantic love story!

How did you get engaged?

Harry proposed in Rhodes, Greece. We were taking a peaceful evening stroll through Kolymbia, a little harbour, when he led me to a tiny blue and white church and got down on one knee. It was perfect!

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?

Walking down the aisle with my dad was unforgettable. The speeches were incredible, they all absolutely smashed it and did us both so proud! And of course, marrying my best friend and dancing the night away in our favourite place.

Tell us all about your wedding dress!

I was obsessed with the side panels and the pockets! Everyone was stunned when I pulled out a tissue mid-ceremony from my dress pocket! The dress made me feel elegant, comfortable, and completely myself.

What was the general décor for your big day?

We tied the knot in Rhodes, overlooking the sea. The evening was magical, with a candlelit dinner surrounded by white roses!

Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?

Approach wedding dress shopping with an open mind! Try on styles you wouldn’t normally consider, as you might be surprised. (My mum asked me to try on a dress that wasn’t my style, and that dress ended up being the one!)

Bring just a couple of trusted people with you to your appointment who’ll help you make a clear decision. Oh, and don’t overdo multiple shop visits, as it becomes overwhelming. So many brides I've met had gone to seven or more stores! Bellissima will help you find your dress!

We got married in Lindos, Rhodes, and I can’t recommend Karen Harvey – Lindos Weddings enough. Her team was absolutely incredible!
