A classic gold-and-navy wedding that effortlessly came together
Brooke and Tom's wedding is proof that when you trust the process, everything else just works. From a quiet proposal on Mersea Beach to a beautifully put-together wedding day, her big day experience was defined by confidence, calm, and knowing she was in safe hands.
Brooke donned a stunning Maggie Sottero dress, a perfect blend of structure and softness. The detailed bodice and heavy satin skirt gave her real presence, while the fit was flawless and felt incredible to wear.
One of Brooke’s favourite moments was stepping away from the action with her husband to simply enjoy the day, which shows just how smoothly everything went from start to finish! With a calm wedding morning and a trusted team of suppliers, her day felt polished, effortless, and chilled.
How did you two meet?
We met at work, and after a year and a bit of trying, he finally got past the first date. (In my defense, it was during Covid)
How did you get engaged?
We got engaged on Mersea Beach, just the two of us.
What was your favourite part of the wedding?
My favourite part of the wedding was having a moment to ourselves; we took ourselves off to enjoy the day and soak it all up.
Tell us all about your wedding dress!
My wedding dress was absolutely amazing! It felt great and fitted so well; the top was detailed to perfection, and the bottom was a lovely heavy satin.
What kind of decor did you go for?
The decor for the day was gold and navy with simple flowers such as our beautiful hydrangeas. Overall, it felt elegant and timeless.
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
My advice is to enjoy every moment and trust the process. My alterations were phenomenal, and the platinum service is so worth it.
Do you have any suppliers you would like to recommend?
Our florist was Flowers by Hayley and they were incredible and listened to everything I wanted. The hairdresser Claire was out of this world and was calm and collected all morning. (All anyone kept saying was 'I have never seen a wedding morning so chilled!') I also loved the look Makeup by Mitch put together for me and the stunning shots by Lavenham Photographic.
How was your Bellissima experience?
My Bellissima experience was wonderful, from first picking the dress all the way through to the alterations. Rose was absolutely amazing and always made me feel so welcome. I just wouldn't have enjoyed the experience without her.
