Jess & Joe: From Hot Chocolate to “I Do” at Crondon Park in Ingatestone

Our sweet couple planned a rustic wedding full of laughter and personal touches

The story of this real wedding began in true modern fairytale style, and culminated in a celebration full of crisp colours and nods to their journey thus far. Every detail, from the sage green and ivory décor to their Cornish-inspired table names, reflected Jess and Joe’s personalities and made their rustic Crondon Park wedding venue feel intimate, joyful, and completely their own.

How did you two meet?

I work at a well-known coffee shop and Joe was a customer. After spending lots of money on hot chocolate, he finally asked me out for dinner — the rest is history!


How did you get engaged?

One of our favourite places is Cornwall. On holiday there in 2023, we visited St Michael’s Mount, and he got down on one knee — it definitely took me by surprise!

What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?

Getting ready in the morning with my mum and sister was so chilled and special. We really enjoyed every moment. Seeing everything I had planned come together on the day was incredible, and I cried when I saw our venue. Saying my vows with Joe and walking back down the aisle as husband and wife with the biggest smiles on our faces was unforgettable.


Tell us all about your wedding dress!

I loved how simple my Enzoani dress was, yet it made such a statement with the long train. As I put it on, I instantly felt beautiful.

What was the general decor for your big day?

We got married at the Crondon Park wedding venue in Ingatestone, Essex, and we really leaned into its rustic vibe with a sage green and ivory look. Since we got engaged in Cornwall, we kept the theme going with tables named after Cornish towns.


Do you have any advice for future Bellissima brides?

Trust the Bellissima team, they are amazing and will definitely find you a wedding dress that'll make you feel 10/10 in. Oh, and enjoy the whole process! It’ll all be over before you know it!
