Jasmine and Mike’s love story started way back in secondary school, and after spending fifteen years together before getting married, they weren't about to rush the enjoyment of their wedding day.

Jasmine’s bridal journey wasn’t without moments of doubt. She knew traditional styles weren’t right for her, but even when a wobble crept in, she trusted the support around her. How did you two meet?

We met at secondary school, and we’ve been together ever since. We had our 15-year anniversary a week before getting married.

How did you get engaged?

We’d just landed in Lanzarote and arrived at our favourite hotel when Mike got down on one knee on our balcony in front of the beautiful sea view. It was private and extremely romantic.

What were your favourite moments from the wedding?

The whole day was incredible, but the ceremony is something I will never forget. I was so giddy and happy. During our nuptials I took in all of our guests' beaming faces and couldn’t let go of my husband’s hand. Saying our vows in front of our family and friends was something I had forever dreamed of happening, and it was everything and more.

Tell us all about your wedding dress!

My Mori Lee wedding dress made me feel one in a million. I tried on the more traditional styles but knew that they were not for me, but even when I began to wobble and thought that I’d made the wrong decision with my wedding dress, my bridal party and the team at Bellissima gave me the confidence to keep going, and it was so worth it.

Dale helped to make all the changes, from the big to the very tiny, so that the dress was absolutely perfect. I felt incredible on my wedding day.

What was the general decor for your big day?

Classic, modern and timeless.

Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?

Every bit of stress and every sleepless night is SO WORTH IT. Keep going, ask for support when you need it, and then when it gets to the big day, relax and enjoy every single minute. It honestly is the best day ever.

Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend?

We had a huge number of suppliers that helped to make our day perfect, but our venue, Swynford Manor, and the whole team there were OUTSTANDING.

How was your Bellissima experience?

Just amazing. It’s easy to see that the team at Bellissima are like a family. You feel welcome just walking through the shop or being greeted for your fittings. A huge, huge thank you to Amelia and Dale, who put their everything into answering every one of my queries, putting every stress at ease and being so lovely throughout my whole experience.
