Say Hello to Mori Lee's New Designer - Jiyup Kim

We're excited about her fresh take on the 'Mori Lee look'

As long-time retailers and big time fans of Mori Lee, we were so excited to hear the news that they have a new designer at the helm. Jiyup Kim, the woman now leading Mori Lee’s creative direction, and the mastermind behind their gorgeous Spring 2026 collection. Has been making waves in designer bridal for many years, and is now bringing her couture, high fashion background to the iconic Mori Lee brand.

But what does this mean for you? Who cares who's pulling the strings?! Well, as a bride, there's a lot to be excited about. Because Jiyup Kim is revitalising what modern bridal looks and feels like. While also offering a couture feel, at an attainable price. Something that every bride can appreciate right now.

What is Jiyup Kim's Background?

Before joining Mori Lee, Jiyup Kim had spent over a decade designing at Vera Wang, which we're sure aware is the go-to name for fashion-forward brides and celebrity weddings. She’s also worked her magic at Marchesa, Jason Wu, and Donna Karan. All the while sprinkling her signature speciality of glamour, structure, and storytelling over every piece she was involved in.⁣

That wealth of expertise working at the highest level in fashion, and bridal fashion, is now being infused into every new style at Mori Lee.

What Can We Expect from Mori Lee Going Forward?⁣

The Spring 2026 'Goddess Collection is a glimpse at how Jiyup Kim is taking the brand forward. With its sculpted corset bodices, romantic layers of lace and tulle, detachable sleeves, and elegant draping. This collection tells us that Mori Lee is going to build on its hallmarks of modern femininity, and gracefulness, but with just enough edge to feel fashion-forward.⁣

And the best part? Jiyup Kim is all about versatility. So expect mix-and-match or removable elements, which'll allow you to create different looks throughout your day, without changing out of your dress. Alongside wedding dresses that flatter all body types.

We can’t wait for Mori Lee's new bridal styles to drop in-store, and for you to try them on for yourselves! Keep an eye on our socials for news of when new gowns have arrived, and book your appointment with us via this link.
